Students tour VPA to understand operations
An exhibition organised by Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav as per call given by the Ministry of Ports Shipping and Waterways from April 30 to May 8 is drawing crowds.

Visakhapatnam: An exhibition organised by Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav as per call given by the Ministry of Ports Shipping and Waterways from April 30 to May 8 is drawing crowds.
The port also took school and college students to operational areas where they were explained about the Infrastructure facilities, capacities in handling of cargo, modernisation and mechanisation, covered storage facilities, solar power, sewage treatment plant for internal and industrial purpose, investment potential and opportunities in exploring imports and export through Visakhapatnam Port.
VPA officials guided the students and also cleared their doubts regarding port operations.
The exhibition is showcasing the port's journey as a premier major port during the past 75 years. VPA is conducting painting, elocution and quiz competitions for its employees at the Traffic Manager building by Human Development Center.
